Repeat Prescriptions

Nice_blue_pillsYou can order a repeat prescription.

By completing the B sheet on your prescription and handing it into the surgery either;

  1. Directly to the reception/dispensary team (any queries would be answered by the duty dispenser),

  2. Into the collection box in the entrance of the Surgery,
  3. Directly through this website. Simply click on the link above and you will be taken to our EMIS online system.

  4. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and trying to reduce footfall to the surgery, patients can now order their repeat prescriptions over the telephone by called the Dispensary line between 3pm and 5pm any afternoon.

Please allow 48 working hours from the time you place your order until you collect your prescription from us. If you ask us to deliver your prescription to a chemist, please remember that the chemist will need additional time to make up your prescription.

We have a dispensary and are allowed to dispense medication to patients living outside Lydney and more than one mile from a chemist. All telephone enquiries regarding prescriptions and emergency repeat prescription requests should be made on 01594 845715 between 3pm and 5pm only. Our dispensers Anne, Emma and Tina will help you with your enquiries.

Electronic Prescribing

Our Practice is collaborating with NHGS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA) which is providing NHS numbers for those patients that may be suitable for electronic repeat dispensing prescriptions. The information is obtained from NHS prescriptions submitted to the NHSBSA. A member of our clinical team will contact these patients soon to explain the benefits of this service.
